Call for Speaker Proposals
Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Second Annual
Personalized Diagnostics
Technologies for Molecular Assays
Emerging tools for personalizing diagnosis of disease can now be used to stratify patients, give molecular classification of disease, determine the likelihood of occurrence, and recommend the best course of treatment. The major drivers of this change in medicine stem from the need to reduce costs in healthcare while being able to improve treatment, and the trend towards consumer-driven demand for access to health information. Technologies will be evaluated for use, including mass spec, protein arrays, metabolomics, and emerging 3rd generation sequencing tools. Approaches for turning these discoveries into viable business models will be given consideration.
Who should attend: Directors of R&D, Senior Managers, Managers, Laboratory Directors, Senior Scientists, and Senior Researchers for Diagnostic, Biotech and Pharmaceutical Sectors.
Technical Topics to be Covered Include:
3rd generation sequencing as a clinical tool
Gene expression assays and analysis
Use of proteomics as a diagnostic tool
Mass spec to find and monitor biomarkers in blood
If you would like to submit a proposal to give a presentation at this meeting, please click here to submit a title and brief 2-3 sentence summary (up to a maximum of 60 words) of a proposed topic on your recent work in the area of personalized diagnostics.
The deadline for submission is July 30, 2010.
All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
