Call for Speaker Proposals

Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Eighth Annual

Mastering Medicinal Chemistry Summit

Senior Chemists Share Successful Case Studies

Mastering Medicinal Chemistry Summit has become the annual West Coast retreat for chemists from all over the world to gather, share case histories, debate, and learn. We feature case studies and project histories from target, through hit-to-lead, lead optimization, and into the clinic, with coverage of a wide spectrum of therapeutic areas including CNS, oncology, metabolic disease and beyond.

You can expect to hear from senior chemists presenting results from the most hotly pursued drug targets in the industry. You will hear projects that incorporated fragment-based screening or a novel computational approach, dealt with DMPK issues, predicted drug metabolism, correlated in vitro ADME data to in vivo, dealt with predicting human half life, solubility and beyond.

The Hot Topics session this year will include coverage of allosteric modulation, inhibitors and screening, as well as late- breaking information in the GPCR area.  In vivo molecular imaging is becoming more popular, and several case studies will illustrate its growing use in the field of medicinal chemistry.

The popular Targets in Hot Pursuit session will feature inhibitors of PPI, ion channels, including new comers such as chloride channels, H3 and orexin in the sleep area, Trk and Faah inhibitors in the pain area, HDAC and PI3 kinase/mTor in the oncology space, as well as other kinase inhibitors, HCV and anti-infective compounds and much more.

Don’t get left out!  Join us in February for Mastering Medicinal Chemistry Summit  2011 at the Moscone.

If you would like to submit a proposal to give a presentation at this meeting, please click here to submit a title and brief 2-3 sentence summary (up to a maximum of 60 words) of a proposed topic on your recent work in the area of medicinal chemistry.

The deadline for submission is July 30, 2010.

All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program.  Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia. Additionally, vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
