Call for Speaker Proposals
Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Eighth Annual
Molecular Diagnostics
“The Industry Leader’s Networking Event”
The emergence of molecular diagnostic tests for the clinical lab is having a huge impact on the practice of medicine. The ability to commercialize assays that provide greater speed and accuracy, while delivering healthcare more efficiently, has made molecular diagnostics an important sector. Find out why this segment is rapidly expanding and learn from leaders in the area. Opportunities to save healthcare costs and deliver accurate diagnoses on a broad range of diseases will be highlighted. Hear about new applications that utilize genetic mutation detection. The facets of making these assays a reality in the clinical setting will be explored, including laboratory workflow, validation and utility studies, cost of clinical trials, reimbursement structure, and regulatory pathway.
Who should attend: Directors of R&D, Senior Managers, Managers, Laboratory Directors, Senior Scientists, and Senior Researchers for Diagnostic, Biotech and Pharmaceutical Sectors.
Technical Topics to be Covered Include:
Establish clinical utility of new markers
Find solutions to IP issues on gene patenting
Compare business models for personalized medicine
Determine best technologies for companion diagnostics
Stay current with point-of-care trends
Explore scalable systems to support omics data
Design high-throughput multiplexed clinical assays
If you would like to submit a proposal to give a presentation at this meeting, please click here to submit a title and brief 2-3 sentence summary (up to a maximum of 60 words) of a proposed topic on your recent work in the area of molecular diagnostics.
The deadline for submission is July 30, 2010.
All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academia.
