How will CHI be verifying vaccination of attendees?
Our event staff will review your vaccine documentation and ID to confirm that you are fully vaccinated and able to enter the event space.
What does “fully vaccinated” mean?
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their last vaccine dose. If you received a single
dose vaccine (ie, Johnson & Johnson), you are fully vaccinated two weeks after your shot. If you received a vaccine that requires two shots (ie, Pfizer or Moderna), you are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after your second shot.
If you don’t meet these requirements, you are NOT fully vaccinated, and will not be able to enter the event space.
Will CHI accommodate medical or religious exemptions?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions. If for any reason you cannot or will not be fully vaccinated at the time of the event, you will not be able to enter
the event space. We welcome you to participate using our virtual platform.
I am not vaccinated, but I can provide a negative test – can I attend in person?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions. A negative test is not a substitute for vaccination. If you are not fully vaccinated
at the time of the event, you will not be able to enter the event space. We welcome you to participate using our virtual platform.
I am not vaccinated, but I have already had COVID – can I attend in person?
Unfortunately, we are not able to make exceptions. The CDC recommends vaccination for COVID, even for those who have already been infected.
If you are not fully vaccinated at the time of the event, you will not be able to enter the event space. We welcome you to participate using our virtual platform.
When am I expected to wear a mask?
Please plan to wear a mask any time you are indoors in the event space. Speakers may remove their mask while actively giving their presentation. In addition, attendees may remove their mask
briefly while actively eating or drinking during official event functions.
How will CHI be verifying attendee test results?
Our event staff will ask for a verbal attestation to your test timing and results.
Is there a specific kind of test I need to use?
Please use an FDA-approved rapid antigen test, to ensure you can test and receive your results within 24 hours prior to arriving at the event. You can find a list of FDA-approved over-the-counter rapid tests for COVID-19 here.
How often do I need to test?
CHI only requires you to test before you arrive at the event. Based on your own judgement and comfort level, you may choose to take additional tests on your own during and/or after the event.
I need to have a COVID-19 PCR test before I return home. Where do I do that?
Please visit the CDC website for a directory of state health departments. These local health departments will have the latest information on testing facilities. Appointments may be required, and the type of viral COVID-19 tests offered may differ by location.
What should I do if I test positive during or after attending the conference?
In the unlikely event that you test positive for COVID-19 during the event, do not attend any additional in-person event sessions or functions. Please alert our team by getting in touch with Pam Gerardi, Director, Client Relations firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will work with you on next steps.
Should I get a COVID-19 test after attending the event?
We encourage any attendee that exhibits COVID-19 symptoms to reach out to their healthcare provider and receive a test.
I’m coming from outside the United States – what are the requirements for entry?
Starting November 8, 2021, The United States requires all international travelers, including US citizens and legal permanent residents,
to provide proof of vaccination AND a negative COVID test before you board your flight. Please review the current CDC guidelines or check with your airline for more information.
I’m coming from outside the United States, what is the policy for me to return to my country of origin?
If traveling internationally, check with your country of origin for details about entry requirements and restrictions for arriving travelers. Follow all entry requirements for your destination and provide any required or requested health information. If you do not
follow your destination’s requirements, you may be denied entry.
ATTENDING IN PERSON
Is there anything special I need to bring with me to the event?
Please bring a copy of your vaccination card and a photo ID. You may also want to bring a mobile device or laptop to join in some of our virtual sessions and
speaker Q&As (please make sure your devices are fully charged; we do our best to make outlets available but cannot guarantee them).
How should we greet and meet our fellow attendees?
This one is up to you. Please follow your personal comfort level and respect the boundaries of your fellow attendees. Handshakes, waves and elbow bumps all welcome.
